Abby Hernandez is a UX/UI Design trainee from New York City. After graduating with a Mathematics degree from UCLA she packed her bags and drove across the country to a state she never visited before. Within a remarkable six days, she secured herself an apartment, showcasing her knack for adaptability and resourcefulness. Her first year in NYC she enjoyed a career as a middle school math teacher. However, her insatiable thirst for growth led her to take a leap of faith and start a new job as a program associate a non profit while also joining Springboard’s UX/UI design bootcamp.
Driven by passion for problem-solving and innovation, Abby hopes to hone in her skillset into crafting accessible designs for students and educators within the realm of edtech.
Fun fact about Abby is that she was born the year of the Rabbit, and much like the gentle nature of this animal, she finds solace in moments of calmness and reflection. Whenever life gets overwhelming, Abby finds comfort in a quick glance at the bunny tattoo on her arm. It's like a gentle nudge to slow down, breathe, and find peace amidst the chaos.
